The coaches

Matched to you, not picked off a list

Every client is assessed first, then matched to the coach who fits your health status and your goals, and the programme and the notes go with you. You are never picking a name off a list and hoping.

Jeff Bergholtz

Fifty-five years under a bar, an M.S. in exercise physiology, and the largest personal training roster in the building. He performs the initial evaluation, writes the exercise prescription, and case-manages every client's programme after that.

The standard

What every coach here holds

An accredited certification
Every coach holds a certification from an accredited training federation. That is the floor, not the ceiling.
Biomechanics and exercise physiology
We expect them to keep studying both. The programme is written under an M.S. in exercise physiology, and the coach who runs it has to be able to read it.
The handover
The assessment, the medical history and the notes go to your coach before your first session. Nothing starts from a blank page.
The match

How you end up with your coach

Tell us who you would like to work with and we will try. The match matters more than the name.

01

You are assessed

A medical history, then a movement assessment, for every client, and the exercise prescription is written from it.

02

You are matched to a coach

On your health status and your goals, not on who has a gap in the diary. The programme and the notes go with you.

03

The studio stays your point of contact

Your programme is case-managed after the handover, and the person who assessed you is on the floor most days, not in an office.

The coaches

Names, roles and portraits are being confirmed with the studio. You meet your coach at the assessment, which is where the match is made.

Independent trainers train here too

Around ten independent trainers run their own books out of the studio. They are not studio coaches and the studio does not match you to them, but they train on the same floor and the same equipment.
