Training

6 questions

Who should consider personal training?

Everyone. Whether you are just getting started or you want to take your fitness to the next level, personal training is the quickest and most efficient way to reach your goals. Our coaches love to come to the gym and train their clients every day, and they are eager to push you to your limits.

What qualifications do the coaches have?

Every coach holds a certification from an accredited training federation, and we expect them to keep studying biomechanics and exercise physiology. Jeff holds an M.S. in exercise physiology, runs the initial evaluation himself, and writes the exercise prescription your programme is built from.

Do I get to pick my coach?

Jeff assesses every client himself, then matches you to the coach who fits your health status and your goals, and hands over the programme and the notes. Tell us who you would like to work with and we will try, but the match matters more than the name.

How does scheduling work?

After the initial introduction with your personal trainer, you will communicate directly with them to schedule your sessions based on mutual availability.

How many times a week should I train?

That depends on your fitness level, your training history, any injuries, and what you actually enjoy. If you are starting out and you need regular motivation and support, train more often. If you are adding personal training to work you already do on your own, less can be enough.

When will I see results?

You should feel changes almost immediately. Clients who stay consistent usually report better sleep, mood, and energy inside a few weeks. Changes in body composition take longer for some people than for others, but if you keep to your programme and take your coach’s advice, the physical changes become obvious to you and to everybody else.

Cost and membership

1 question

How much does it cost?

Sessions are bought in packages with a 90-day minimum, so there is a retest at the end of it and something to compare against. We will build a package around your budget, whether you train twice a month or five times a week. Ask Jeff for the current rates when you book your consultation.

Why Takes 2?

We believe that relationships are better than memberships. Anyone who trains here becomes part of a small community, and our goal is always to host you well. That means the cleanliness of this floor is something we all take personally. Everyone cleans, everyone racks, everyone treats it like they own it. If you have a suggestion, we want to hear it, whether that is a piece of equipment you would like on the floor or a time you would like to train.

Injuries and medical

1 question

What if I have an injury?

Tell us at the assessment. Your coach can program around the affected area and build a corrective strategy to improve the stability, mobility, and strength of it as it heals. There is also a doctor of physical therapy on this floor through Star Physical Therapy, so a problem gets looked at properly instead of trained around. No corrective or post-rehabilitation programme delivered here is intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease or mechanical malalignment. Always talk to your doctor before you start a new exercise programme.
